PUBLIC NOTICE:
RECRUITMENT OF POLLING OFFICIALS
The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) wishes to inform the general public that applications are invited from qualified Gambians to serve as polling officials for the conduct of the 5th December, 2026 Presidential Election.
Applications are opened for the following positions:
- Assistant Returning Officer
- Presiding Officer
- Assistant Presiding Officer
- Polling Assistant
- Polling Officer
- Data Officer
Interested applicants should apply in writing, addressed to the Chairman IEC, Election House, OIC Highway, Kanifing.
Applications, together with copies of relevant certificates and a Gambian photo identification document are to be sent to the IEC Election Offices in Banjul, Kanifing, Yarambamba, Brikama, Sibanor, Mansakonko, Kerewan, Wassu, Janjanbureh and Basse.
Applicants are to possess at least a senior secondary school certificate.
Prospective applicants are required to apply directly to the Election Office in the Administrative Area they wish to work.
The deadline for submission of application is on Thursday 15th October, 2026.
